Hello and welcome! As your professional henna instructor, I have been studying and practicing henna since 1999.
My Pakistani mother-in-law and sister-in-law introduced me to mehndi way back then, and it was love at first sight!
Henna is the perfect combination of art, history, and science. Everything my nerdy heart loves!
I’m excited to share the rich and complex history of henna. I educate students about the origins and spread of henna. We learn about different henna styles throughout the world, and the best part; we learn how to actually draw henna designs.
I have a wealth of personal experience beyond book-learning, having studied and taught alongside henna artists from many cultures including; India, Pakistan, Egypt, Russia, Iran, Isreal, Ukraine, and America. As a result, I can share a unique henna experience. Henna is truly an international experience, with room for everyone to participate.
Most importantly, as an experienced virtual henna instructor, I run an entertaining and educational virtual workshop with the goal of exciting students about a new skill and teaching them something new and unexpected.
My workshops are structured to be be mostly hands-on and to encourage interaction with students.
My heritage is German and Welsh, and I was raised in the midwest, USA. I currently live in Orlando, Florida, where I run Beachcombers Henna Supply & Studio along with my partner, Asad.
